This weekend sees Hot Creations play host to 2 massive parties at Brixton Academy. Yes south of the river folks!! Saturday night is completely sold out & only a few tickets left for tonights show. The two night party includes the likes of Art DepartmentJamie JonesLee Foss & Infinity Ink.

The guys at Running Wild have teamed up with Manchester’s mighty Kaluki Musik to provide an afternoon warm up session at Brixton Clubhouse. We’ve been to Brixton Clubhouse a few times now (to see Dimitri from Paris & Todd Terje). It’s the perfect spot in London if the weather is good – all our fingers & toes are crossed for sun!

Come rain, hail or shine, you’ll see us down there anyway. Max Chapman, Pete Zorba and label boss Ellesse will be working their moves – great way to start a Saturday session! ;-) Get your tickets here.

Our buddies over at the Human Drizzle blog have lined up their second installment of ‘Human Drizzle Presents…’ – which is taking place this Friday 5th April at The Bussey Building in Peckham.

Headlining this top notch night, is Harry Wolfman, who started causing a stir a year ago with his breakthrough hit ‘Don’t You Know’. Since then he’s released an EP for Purp & Soul and caused some hot fuss by remixing label boss Ben Pearce’s classic ‘What I Might Do’. He’s just dropped his second EP, ‘Booty Call’, and it neatly blends deep house with some nice garage touches. Also working their moves on the night will be Alex Blaxx, Clancy & Real.

This is sure to be a night of epic proportions, one not to be missed. So we’ve teamed up with the lads at Human Drizzle, to give one lucky reader two free tickets.

Simply email us saying “Hell yeah givafizz, we want to come”. Yup, it’s that easy!

Competition entry closes at 6pm this Wednesday 3rd April. We’ll contact the winner shortly after.

You can check out the full details & buy tickets here.

In the meantime, here is a few tunes to get you in the groove. We’ve got our rave shoes on, have you?!

So who needs a little Disclosure in their lives then?!? We don’t mean that dodge film from the 90’s featuring Michael Douglas & Demi Moore in some fairly incriminating clinches, no, we mean siblings Guy and Howard Lawrence whose last single ‘White Noise’ propelled them sharpish from the underground to No.2 charting success stories by way of a some quite outstanding beatsmythery! Check out the Sam Smith featuring ‘Latch’, the ‘Face EP’ and their remix of Jessie Wares ‘Running’ and you can see why it was only a matter of time.

Well just so happens that they’ll be hosting a night of epic proportions on Friday the 8th March at the Great Suffolk Street Warehouse as part of Disclosure and Red Bull Studios present:

Disclosure have recently part-recorded their debut album at the Red Bull Studio in London and are continuing their relationship with Red Bull Studios by collaborating on this very special party where the brothers have curated the line-up for the evening.

It quite frankly has us wetting our pants with excitement and includes House & Garage legend (& one time Daft Punk cohort) Todd Edwards, Voyeur and UK House and Bass maestro Shadow Child going back-to-back with new Dirtybird on the block Friend Within. The bill also includes Wolf Music’s Medlar (named after hearing it mentioned on Gardeners Question World on radio 4 funnily enough!) going back-to-back to Leon Vynehall and finally Happa.

The night will also involve one live show from the Disclosure boys and one back-to-back set with an as yet unannounced special guest… Mmmm, wonder who that might be then???

The party coincides with Red Bull launching their new Editions – three new flavours: Cranberry, Lime and Blueberry but with the same effect as Red Bull – always hits the spot and is guaranteed to have you cutting some serious shapes until the wee hours!

We understand that the event is now sold out but there may be some tickets left on the door so why not venture down early to avoid disappointment. This will be a night to remember, the Givafizz crew will be in attendance so why not pop over and say hello. We’ll be down the front dancing our socks off!

I’ve been a big fan of Mobilee Records since it launched in 2005. Putting innovation at its core, it has quickly established itself as one of the most forward thinking labels. Founded by Anja Schneider and Ralf Kollmann, the label stays rooted in the classic structures of house and techno. Label artists include Sebo K, Rodriguez Jr., Geddes, Raymundo Rodriguez & many others. All of which are lined up to play this Saturday in London. Exciting!

Not only do they put out some top notch productions, they have become pretty famous for their amazing tours & unique parties. In the past, they’ve taken over a sandy urban riverside beach, a hillside swimming pool and rocked many hotel rooftops. So they’ve a lot to live up to when coming to London! Leaving no rock unturned, they’ve gone for one of London’s newest warehouse spaces - The Sidings Warehouse. Nice!

We’ve teamed up with the lovely people at Mobilee Records & London Warehouse Events, to give one lucky reader two free tickets.

As some of you know, I’m part of the Disposable Thumbs collective, a group of DJs playing at various clubs & events all over London. The night has been going from strength to strength and now we are proud to present our Ministry of Sound debut on Saturday 9th June as part of Ministry’s Saturday Sessions “We Love…”. Headlining the night will be James Zabiela, Stacey Pullen & one of my favourite producers Catz n Dogz. Exciting! We’ll be playing in The Loft – the newest room at Ministry, showcasing upcoming record labels and DJs. Just like us!

Whilst I love all things disco, I don’t think I will get away with playing that sort of thing at Ministry! So as a warm up, I’ve made a slightly different mix which has a more house / tech house vibe – including tracks from the likes of Round Table Knights, Zombie Disco Squad, Andre Crom and more.

If you are based in London, it would be super to see any of down at Ministry this Saturday. As this is our debut, Ministry of Sound have given me a punch of presale tickets at £10 (it’s £18 if you buy directly from MOS). So if you fancy coming down on Saturday 9th June, then drop me an email - givafizz@gmail.com - and ill hook you up!

The Eastern Electric nights have been rocking my world over the last couple of years, especially their Bank Holiday parties! They have been hosting nights for the last four years in the most unusual of spaces in and around London, attracting a host of amazing, up & coming talent in the electronic / dance music scene.

After these four great years of innovative lineups, Eastern Electrics is taking the party to the next level, with an all-day, all-out, sunshine-fuelled party. That’s right, Eastern Electrics Festival 2012 is coming! Working with some very special collaborators, krankbrother and Black Atlantic, will each programme and host a stage, along with 2020 Vision & Futureboogie Recordings.

More to be announced in comings weeks & months. But tickets went on sale yesterday and the super early bird sold out within hours. So if you’re in London in August, this is certainly the place to be. Don’t miss out & come join us!

Here is mixes from Tensnake & Crazy P to get you in the summer festival mood ;-)
