The second release on Freeze Dried Records comes from Duran Genc & Aytekin, a duo from Istanbul. On one side we have Leave Your Cares, a disco number taking the familiar vocals of Chic’s 1979 #1 hit Good Times. The second track, again takes some familiar vocals, but this time turns it into a deep late night burner. Been playing these two on repeat all day, very nice!
Given the success of their other releases, it’s hard to believe that this is only the fifth release from Austria’s Luv Shack label. It features four collaborations between Lee Stevens and various Luv Shack luminaries, all of which fit into the label’s sweet, touchy-feely deep house template. My favourite is LuvSick, in which Lee hooks up with LeSale to produce a positively Balearic feelgood track. Whilst the rest of the release takes a deeper, darker approach. Great stuff!
Cosmonauts Top Ten mix needs no introduction, every month the guys serve up some brand spanking new disco & house tracks all blended into one hour of deliciousness. And, if that’s not enough, Paulie from the Cosmonauts has done an extra mix on the side, going into deeper waters. Hell yes. Two hours of cosmic joy!
We’ve got two treats from Black Magic Disco for you today. First is his remix of Sebastian’s Birthday, in which he takes the futuristic disco track and puts together a funky deep remix – that bassline is so sweet! Followed by the first in his monthly mixes. This one take us on a journey through Nu Disco, to 90s inspired piano house and the latest deep house featuring the likes of A.N.D.Y. Vanilla Ace, Cassian, Rocco Raimundo and Jonas Rathsman. Nice!
If you haven’t heard this massive track from Ben Pearce, then get involved. Quick! I first heard it out in Croatia – it’s been played by Solomun all summer long and was picked up by Pete Tong on BBC Radio 1 a couple of weeks back. Finally it gets a release on MTA next Monday. About bloody time! On the release comes two remixes, it was always going to be hard to get anywhere near the original – but Harry Wolfman and Bonar Bradberry have done a great job. Check it out.

Then as the sun goes down, we’ll all be moving into Corisca Studios to dance the night away to this belter of a line up.

A little camp, but still oh so good. Guaranteed to get the girls moving on the dance-floor, this is Zimmer‘s nice little rework of the disco number, Everybody Dance. Perfect to get you in the mood for a Saturday night! Plus, it’s a free download. Nice!
WARNING: the following track may cause multiple fist pumps and repeat plays. You have been warned! As we blogged about a couple of weeks back, the Northern Irish duo will be dropping this 90s piano houser to mark the launch of their new label. Bring it on!
